Some peeps asking me if I’m attending the Singapore Tattoo Show.

Here’s my official answer:

NO.

I have to admit I was pretty excited about it when I first found out about it. But now… I can’t afford another one so I don’t want to go and get tempted by all the lovely stuff and do something regrettable in the spur of the moment just because the environment and people were right.

The timing could not be less appropriate than now.

But with tattoos getting more mainstream, I’m pretty sure there will be more shows coming up. Speaking of which, if tattoos are gaining acceptance, does that make my parents stubborn, traditional, old fogies who refuse to accept that tattoos are socially acceptable?

Possibly. And in that case, that makes me half a rebel and half a coward for getting tattoos but not telling them about it.
